Abstract

Objectives: The anatomical paths lead to the hypothesis that the muscles act not only individually, but through connections throughout the body within ranges fascias functionally integrated (Mayers, 2003). They present a new perspective and understanding of anatomic and kinesiologic evaluation. Thus, this work seeks to demonstrate a new way of teaching, based on clinical findings in order to demonstrate the relationship between the line with deep anterior cruciate anterior ligament injury and temporomandibular joint. Methods and Results: A total of twelve (12) male subjects with age mean 23.91±1.88 years, selected from two groups. Group 1 (G1) consisting of 6 (six) healthy subjects (control group) and group 2 (G2) consisted of 6 (six) patients after anterior cruciate ligament of the left lower limb. The study was approved by research ethics committee of the Centro Universitário Claretiano de Batatais (Case: 14/2010). After selecting the samples, the subjects underwent an examination by surface electromyography device brand DataHominis MyosystemBr1-P84 model, featuring 8 active channels. During the examination was called for an assessment by the RMS maximum intercuspal Temporal muscles (RT, LT), masseter (RM, LM) and sternocleidomastoid (RS, LS) of both sides, the clinical conditions of maximum voluntary contraction (MVC) at 4 and 10 seconds. The values obtained during the collection underwent electromyographic normalization of the sample by MVC 10 seconds. The final values were statis tically analyzed using SPSS 17.0 for Windows (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA) by Student t-test for independent samples. Adopted as a significance level of 5% (p ≤ 0.05). The G1 had during the clinical condition of MVC values: RT: 1.18±0.14 µV, LT: 1.12±0.10 µV, RM: 1.27±0.43 µV, LM: 1.26±0, 49μV, RS: 1.17±0.39 µV, LS: 1.22±0.30 µV. The Group 2 showed results: RT: 1.57±0.81 µV, LT: 1.39±0.71 µV, RM: 1.24±0.48 µV, LM: 1.28±0.71 µV, RS: 0.97±0.77 µV, LS: 1.50±0.97 µV. These data were presented without significance (p ≥ 0.05). Conclusions: Thus conclude that the participants had previous compensation in deep lines, reinforcing the ideology of the rails and thus bringing an anatomical relationship of the lower limb muscles and muscles of the temporomandibular joint.
