Renato Locchi is singular Professor to the discipline of human anatomy in medical school, Faculty of Medicine, University of Sao Paulo, perhaps even for the anatomy of Brazil. Upon assuming the cathedra, after the death of his master Professor Alfonso Bovero, Renato Locchi starts trajectory that raises the anatomy to level of importance and legitimacy of the discipline that goes beyond already recognised scientific legacy. The new professor provides strong rhetoric legitimized by the firm stance of occupation of institutional spaces, such as his election to the direction of the Faculty, and the expansion of the importance of cathedra in national and international scene. Through the document analyse mediated by socio-historical theory of school subjects, we proposed to understand the period locchiana chair (1937-1955), focusing on the analysis of the anatomy of the face disciplinary expressed in this space-time. Of this period, we infer by the reorganization of anatomical teaching in this Faculty mediated by the aspirations specialized of the 1930s, responding to this desire through the institutionalization of neuroanatomy as a research and teaching in the chair. Still as a response to the pressures that the curriculum suffers, there is a reprogramming of the contents of systemic-descriptive anatomy, which privileges the practical classes, leaving for the theory classes guiding questions and criticisms, and the opening of real space for the topography develop their culture and become full. Summing up with the proposal that a multifaceted discipline, this professor divides space-time teaching - calling it school anatomy - of the space-time of the survey. The school anatomy amalgamates the content consolidated and strengthened through the dissection method; the research, which feeds the first, meets the essential role of expanding the frontiers of knowledge of anatomy and the inter-disciplinary relationships. The specificity of the period Renato Locchi shows us that he was a professor of national and international relevance, which shows us how important is the discipline of anatomy respond to the needs of the community that receives it, in order to perpetuate itself as essential in the training of medical professionals.

Renato Locchi é catedrático ímpar para a disciplina de anatomia humana no curso médico da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo, talvez até mesmo para a anatomia brasileira. Ao assumir a cátedra após a morte de seu mestre, o professor Alfonso Bovero, Renato Locchi inicia a trajetória que alça a anatomia a um patamar de importância e legitimidade disciplinar que extrapola o já consagrado reconhecimento científico herdado. O novo catedrático estabelece forte retórica legitimadora através da firme postura de ocupação dos espaços institucionais, tais como sua eleição para a direção da Faculdade, e a expansão da importância da cátedra no cenário nacional e internacional. Através da análise documental mediada pela teoria de construção sócio-histórica de disciplinas escolares, propusemos compreender o período de cátedra locchiana (1937 a 1955) focando na análise da face disciplinar que a anatomia expressa neste espaço-tempo. Deste período, pudemos depreender pela reorganização do ensino anatômico nesta Faculdade mediada pelas aspirações especializadoras da década de 1930, respondendo a este anseio através da institucionalização da Neuroanatomia como área de pesquisa e ensino dentro da cátedra. Ainda como forma de resposta às pressões que o currículo sofre, há a reprogramação do conteúdo da anatomia sistêmico-descritiva, que se concentra na face prática, deixando para a teoria apenas questões orientadoras e críticas; bem como a abertura de espaço efetivo para que a anatomia topográfica se plenifique e desenvolva sua cultura. Somando-se à proposta que multifaceta a disciplina, este catedrático distingue o espaço-tempo do ensino - designando-o por anatomia escolar - e o espaço-tempo da pesquisa. Na anatomia escolar amalgamam-se os conteúdos consolidados e corroborados através do método dissecatório; a pesquisa, alimentadora da primeira, cumpre o essencial papel de expansão das fronteiras do conhecimento anatômico e das inter-relações disciplinares. A especificidade do período de Renato Locchi nos mostra que ele foi catedrático de relevância nacional e internacional, indicando-nos o quão importante é a disciplina de anatomia responder aos anseios da comunidade que a recebe e sustenta, de forma a perenizar-se como essencial na formação do profissional médico.
